Scott Hornton turned me on to this report. The report is from The Human Rights Center of the University of California.
This found through Andrew Sullivan. Hilarious.
I found a very interesting article, which sounds like–to me–an alarm sounding the end of neo-conservatism. I’ve said this to a few people before, but I really do believe that people are finally waking up to the idea that neo-conservatism was not conservatism at all. You can’t support all that neo-conservatism put forth as policy AND cut taxes without a HUGE deficit every year. Look at the deficit we have now. These are neo-conservative ideals at work. Good riddance.
Also, are “multilateralism” and “globalism” really just words Europe uses to establish themselves as a superpower? Obama’s first test in the White House.
A thoughtful article on the outlook of immigration over the next few terms.
Finally, probably one of the worst conspiracy theories I have ever heard.
Good Morning!
UPDATE:
Regarding the “worst conspiracy theory” post. Another view.
Karl “Gracious” Rove.
Dealing perpetually with Bushist foul-ups.
AND FINALLY, THE FUNNIEST ARTICLE I’VE READ ALL WEEK.
HAPPY FRIDAY.
Also, Scott Hornton interviews regarding torture.
Finally, in the world of bread and circus, some relief.
This can’t be happening, but is. Can anyone define “terrorist” for me?
Waterboarding and waterboarding.
Have a good weekend.
